HAPPY EASTER & NEW MONTH OF GODLY RECOLLECTIONS
Greetings in Jesus Name.
Happy Easter,
Today, we a celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Congratulations for experiencing today. Congratulations for seeing the end of the first three months of this Year.
IT IS WRITTEN
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. (Job 33:4 KJV).
Thank Him for His Breath. Thank Him for your breath. Thank Him for your life.
Happy New Month and Happy New Quarter.
There are many global challenges today. Your locality may have its own share. Your place may be very peaceful. Whatever your circumstance, remember that like Jeremiah, who was seeing, at first hand, his people who had ‘gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude’ (Lament. 1:3 KJV), ‘young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street’ (Lament.2:19 KJV), and hedged in (Lam 3:7 KJV) wrote:
18And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
19Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. (Lam 3:18-20 KJV).
18 And I say, Perished is my strength and my expectation from the Lord.
19 [O Lord] remember [earnestly] my affliction and my misery, my wandering and my outcast state, the wormwood and the gall.
20 My soul has them continually in remembrance and is bowed down within me. (Lam 3:18-20 AMPC).
Now, note this
21 But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:
22 It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.
25 The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God’s word].
26 It is good that one should hope in and wait quietly for the salvation (the safety and ease) of the Lord. (Lament. 3:21-26 AMPC).
Note that his recalling to mind ‘the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness’, His unfailing compassion, the newness, the goodness of God and the wisdom of waiting for God, resurrected hope in him. This is so important because hopelessness is not only morbid, it is mortal. It will aid you to misjudge God quickly.
Remember, the aim of the devil is to sell you a wrong perspective of God. If you buy it, you will get into more trouble and it will torment you. Read Genesis 3 and Luke 4: 1-13.
How can you win? You need a kind of hope that is far above the natural hope. This is a hope that is fuelled by the supernatural power of God. This is the kind of hope that Jeremiah (the author of The Book of Lamentations) wrote about. This is the hope rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Secular hope, ordinary hope, self-will ……….. will fail you. The Bible hope is the living hope. The source is God. Get more acquainted with God through the Bible, the depository of living hope.

Peter wrote
3 Praised (honored, blessed) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 [Born anew] into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God’s power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.
(1 Peter 1:3-5 AMPC).
Are you down? Begin to ascend like Jeremiah. Bring out your prayer journal or diary (if you have one). Simply begin to reflect on God’s goodness to you ‘every morning’ of this year. Enumerate them, tally them and analyse the data. He has given you some things to thank Him with.
As you are thanking Him, doors will be opening for more and more of the same graces you have received or varieties of them. Expect ‘strange’ graces, unheard-of graces for God is the God of great surprises. We are created in His image (Gen. 1:27). Do you let your child know all the gifts you are going to buy for him Easter or Christmas? Surprise birthday party is fun because the celebrant is unaware of how, when it will be held and he is oblivious of the gifts waiting for him. We got this idea from God. Know that God is able to ‘supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus’. (Philipp. 4:19 KJV).
Are you in covenant relationship with God? If you are not or you are not sure, go to this page so that you can be a recipient of this living hope permanently.
IT IS WRITTEN
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). (John 10:10 KJV).
The thief is the devil. Stop it from stealing from you anymore. Get your stuff back.
