HAPPY NEW MONTH OF ACCESSING GOD’S SECRETS
Greetings in Jesus Name. You are welcome to this blog.
First, I congratulate you for seeing today. Thank God for the gift of life! He deserves to be thanked and praised for the dawning of a new day.
Read this Scripture out loud:
6Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD (Psalm 150:6 KJV).
PRAYER TIME
Thank and praise Him for today.
Thank and praise Him for this week.
Thank and praise Him for the Year 2022.
We will be looking at the area of accessing God’s secrets today. These are sacred information that we need to live an overcoming and distinguished life. They are in the treasuries of God.
Consider this Scripture:
14The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant (Psalms 25:14 KJV).
14The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them (Psalms 25:14 NIV).
Read this true story
1 Then the Lord appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. 4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”
They said, “Do as you have said.”
6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” 7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it. 8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate (Gen. 18:1-8 NKJV).
Later
Abraham's intercession for Sodom
16 Then the *men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way. 17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, 18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.” 20 And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, 21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”
22 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord. 23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
26 So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”
27 Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: 28 Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?”
So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.” (Gen. 18:16-27 NKJV).
*note this Scripture:
1Let brotherly love continue.
2Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares (Hebrews 13:1 KJV).
Hospitable Abraham (see again Gen. 18:1-8 above) had entertained God on this occasion ‘unawares’.
God had chosen to appear to Abraham on that day in a physical form. The conversations between God and Abraham were nothing less than prayers. God is a Spirit and He is not obliged to appear to anyone in a physical form at any time in prayers.
‘Abraham prayed unto God’ without seeing Him years before this occasion, for the healing of King Abimelech’s household (Gen. 20:17) and also on other occasions.
The Omniscient God knew what was best for Abraham and for the saints (Old Testament and New Testament) who will the story.
What shows as very striking in Abraham’s prayer is his closeness to God. Imagine this:
And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,…….? (verse 17).
The next sentence may be a surprise to you. God, Who asked the question above, loves everyone equally. Read, The Message Bible translation below:
34-36 Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone (Acts 10:34-36 MSG).
God is not a racist, an ageist or a tribalist. How can He be? He created humanity in love. He made only one rule for all. The New Covenant ratified by the Blood of Jesus is for all. However, an individual decision must be made whether to benefit from the New Covenant of not. It has always been so.
Are you born again? Has your sin been washed away by the Blood of the Lamb? Have you been redeemed with this inestimable Blood? Are you really a child of God? Have you been given ‘exceeding great and precious promises’ right here on earth (2 Peter 1:4)? If the answer is ‘no’ or ‘not sure’ to these questions, click for an explanation and pray right away.
If you are born again, know that God does not love Abraham the ‘the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised’ (Rom 4:11 AMPC) more that you. Read Acts 10:34-36 again.
This means that He is able to say about you and directly to you that
“Shall I hide from __________________________ what I am doing,…….?''
Imagine your name is above
JUST AS HE SAID TO ABRAHAM THAT
“Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,…….?'' (Gen. 18:17)
Remember God means what He says.
ACTIVITY
Think calmly on Gen. 18:17 for some minutes. 17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,……………..?
Reflect on this.
Question yourself if you have been missing some things in life.
Life is full of mysteries and many people walk in darkness, BUT the real child of God has an edge as they are joined to God.
