HAPPY NEW MONTH OF GUIDANCE_09.26
It is the ninth month of the year. Congratulations for this free gift from God. Nobody should take it for granted.
Let us thank and praise the Lord for it is a good thing to do so. Under the inspiration of God, the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist penned a ready-made prayer thousands of years ago which is still valid to pray today.
PRAYER TIME
Pray now:
1-3 What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks,
to sing an anthem to you, the High God!
To announce your love each daybreak,
sing your faithful presence all through the night,
Accompanied by dulcimer and harp,
the full-bodied music of strings.
4-9 You made me so happy, God.
I saw your work and I shouted for joy.
How magnificent your work, God!
How profound your thoughts!
Dullards never notice what you do;
fools never do get it.
When the wicked popped up like weeds
and all the evil men and women took over,
You mowed them down,
finished them off once and for all.
You, God, are High and Eternal.
Look at your enemies, God!
Look at your enemies—ruined!
Scattered to the winds, all those hirelings of evil! (Psa. 92:1-9 MSG).
How is your journey so far this year?
How is your journey so far this year? Exciting? Good? Fair? Not so good? Bad? Whatever your response is, there is one question you must ask yourself and you are the only one who can answer it. It is, 'who and what have been with me in this journey of 2026 right from the first day of the year'?
You also need to ask 'how beneficial is every member of my entourage in this 2026 journey?'.
There is a third question. 'Has God been in my journey at all?'. This needs a very honest answer.
Who is God?
What is your knowledge of Him? He is often taken for granted. You need to know Him and keep updating your knowledge about Him. The extent of your knowledge of God is directly proportional to the grace and peace than can be flowing to you from His presence. 2 Peter 1:2 states that
2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (KJV).
May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. (AMPC).
Who is God? Your Creator (Gen. 1-2).
Who is God? The Creator of 2026 (Gen. 1; Isa. 44:6-23)
Who is God? Your Defence (Psa. 89:18)
Who is God? Your Healer. (Exo. 15:26; Isa. 53: 3-5; 1 Peter 2:24).
Who is God? Your Deliverer (Psa. 18:2; 1 Cor. 1:12-14).
Who is God? He is God of hosts (Psa. 80:7; James 5:4).
Who is God? Your Provider (Gen. 22:14; Philipp. 4:1-19).
Who is God? Your Redeemer (Isa. 49:24-26; 60:16; Gal. 3:13-14).
Who is God? The Lord Whose Name Is Jealous (Exo. 34:14; James 4:5).
Who is God? He is your Shepherd (Psa. 23:1; John 10:14).
Who is the most falsely accused on the earth? God.
A lot of failures are due to the fact that God is not thought of in the planning stage of many things in life. Many times, He is regarded as an afterthought. For example, in the making of new year resolutions or planning, how many people think of God, or ask of His help when making them? Some make their resolutions or planning and then ask God to bless it.
The only One, Whose thoughts surpasses the thoughts of all human beings that will ever live and the thoughts of angels is not allowed to accompany you in a journey of twelve long months. The Omnipotent One (All-powerful God) is not invited into a journey of one year! Is it any wonder why there are many failures of plans when people have not enthroned God?
Many are not aware of the will of God in the situation they are facing. Some plans are blatantly contrary to His will and are executed. This is navigating in the midst of darkness.
Calamity may occur in a place that has never once in history been dedicated to God, Who is The Living Refuge, Living Fortress and Living Trust (Psa. 91:2). Disaster may happen where the property owners are ignorant of the vital need of making unceasing affirmation of, what God has said in the Bible, on the properties of God's children in these dark times (Psa. 17:4; Rev. 12:12).
When the enemy (the devil) takes advantage of this, resulting disasters are then called 'the acts of God'. How erroneous. How unfair to the One, Who gave His only begotten Son on the Cross for humanity so that man can enjoy safety to its fullness (John 10:10). He died such a violent a death so that you can be preserved. In case you are not a child of God yet, you can be one now. His Door is open. He is waiting to receive you. Jesus Himself said
'I tell you that in the same way there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one repentant sinner'. (Luke 15:10 Weymouth).
Click and pray the prayer of salvation now. Heaven is waiting for you.
Thankfulness for His mindfulness of you.
You may not have been thinking of Him but He has been thinking of you.

Meditate on these Scriptures
17 How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You. (Psa. 139:17-18 AMPC).
7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon.
8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isa 55:7-11 AMPC).
11 For I know the plans that I have for you, ’declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (Jer. 29:11-12 NASB).
For I know the thoughts which I think on you, saith the Lord, the thoughts of peace, and not of torment, that I give to you an end and patience. (For I know the thoughts which I think about you, saith the Lord, the thoughts of peace, and not of torment, so that I shall give you a good ending.) (WYC).
For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking towards you -- an affirmation of Jehovah; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give to you posterity and hope. (YLT).
11 For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai, ‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future. 12 When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you. (CJV).
How loving! How caring! God is Agape!
Begin to acknowledge Him
Having Him with you in your journey is the wisest thing to do.
Take note of this
21There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. (Prov. 19:21 KJV).
21Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the purpose of the LORD will prevail. (Prov. 19:21 BSB).
21People can make all kinds of plans, but only the Lord’s ·plan [purpose; advice] will ·happen [succeed]. (Prov. 19:21 EXB).
We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. (Prov. 19:21 MSG).
21One can devise many plans in one’s mind, but Adonai’s plan will prevail. (Prov. 19:21 CJB).
Don't just have Him on board let Him be the Chief. Let Him be at be at the steering wheel of your life. This is His perfect will. Enthrone Him.
Let Him know more about you. Although He knows everything (Omniscient), the protocol of prayer (which He authored) demands that you tell Him everything that you need. Being His offspring, let Him know more about you. He is not a vending machine, as some think He is. They only come to Him when they want something done. He wants your intimate relationship. The Creator of feeling has feelings! Always think of this.
5 Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. 6 With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way. (Prov. 3:5-6 ERV).
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. (Prov. 3:5-6 NKJV).
PRAYER TIME
Repent of not being as close to Him as you could have been.
Mention your longing for Him.
Ask Him to draw you closer to Himself.
Ask Him to make Himself more real to you by His Spirit.
Bring out or make a list of your plans, wants, ways and worries and present them to Him.
Ask Him to lead you.
Commit the rest of the year to Him.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you spirit, soul and body.
