Spiritual Lunch for The Week_16.01.26
Spiritual Lunch for The Week_16.01.26
Greetings in the Name of Jesus.
Can God have lunch with His children? Look at this Scripture.
1The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. (Psa. 23 NKJV).
In this new year, examine this Scripture more closely.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. (Psa. 23:5 KJV).
You prepared a meal for me in front of my enemies. You welcomed me as an honored guest. My cup is full and spilling over. (Psa. 23:5 ERV).
You prepare a big meal for me while my enemies watch. You put olive oil on my head. You bless me so much that my cup is completely full. (Psa. 23:5 EASY).
You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. (Psa. 23:5 MSG).
‘You’ in this Psalm was God, Who is unchanging and ageless (Mal. 3:6; Isa.57:15). The ‘me’ there was David, one of His children many years ago. This was a spiritual table. They were eating spiritual meals. Could it have been breakfast, lunch, dinner? Does it matter?
What is most remarkable there is, Father God and a son sitting down so intimately eating spiritually. There must have been a conversation, For example, ‘please pass me this ………..’ or ‘pass me that …………… please’.
Is this not a form of prayer? Is prayer not communion with God? It is a lot more than communication. It is deep intimacy between Elohim and His choice creation – mankind.
According to Acts 10:34-35 David, Abraham, Hannah, Jabez, Ruth, Samson, Apostle Babalola and Apostle Paul had the same right to be on the spiritual table. Your Pastor, Bishop, General Overseer and unheard-of evangelists today have the same right to come into His Presence. You too have the same right to come into His Presence.
IT IS WRITTEN
34Then Peter began to speak: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism,
35but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right. (Act 10:34 BSB).
He is the prayer-answering God. There is none like Him. He is in a Class by Himself. His goodness and mercies are unmatchable. Amen.
Say your next prayer with more confidence knowing that He will answer you too.
